We are looking for a managerial profile; organized, customer-oriented, self-organized, adaptable, friendly, honest, dynamic, flexible, capable of multi-tasking and handling a variety of tasks, with optimal communication skills, to be part of our team. We are looking for a person with a global vision, capable of leading a team, and coordinating different tasks and demands. We have an informal organizational culture which requires much flexibility and adaptability to the ever-changing demands.

The tourism sector is very seasonal. We ask for flexibility during the high season which is the last week of April 15-June 10 and August 15 – November 15. Taking vacation is very difficult during this period for more than 1/2 days.

We will begin with a 3-month trial and training period for adaptation. This person will be replacing one of the members of the team who will be transitioning out.

Minimum Requirements:
-Native or VERY high level of English (this is an absolute must)
-Native Spanish Speaker (or extremely high level with no accent)
-Experience with customer service: Service-oriented
-Experience supervising people in customer service
-Fluent communication skills, written and oral (Spanish AND English)
-Flexible to work on weekends IF needed during high season (May, Sept. & Oct)
-Tech and computer savvy (preferably with Mac) and fast typing skills
-Self-organized
-Assertive
-Very detail-oriented
-Respectful, friendly and polite
-Fast learner
-Ability to work under pressure

It is a PLUS if you have:
-Experience with WordPress and website editing
-Knowledge/interest in Spain’s geography, culture and history
-Having done the Camino de Santiago
-Experience in the tourism sector
-Experience with Apple computers
-Experience with reservations software


Responsibilities:

-Supervising a small customer service team
-Confirming all details of every tour on time with different departments
-General customer service on email and phone
-Assisting the Director of the company (emails, calls, writing, computer set up)
-Coordinating different departments
-Greeting clients (possible in other cities in the Peninsula)
-Creating, sending, and requesting invoices (to clients and/or suppliers)
-Translating documents from/to Spanish to/from English
-Edit and update website on WordPress (dates, prices, texts, promotions, etc)
-Different administrative tasks

The job requires mainly dealing with client emails, enquiries, picking up the phone, answering questions, making and dealing with reservations, managing invoices, etc. Our clients are international and 80% of the job will be in mostly in English.

You will have to deal with client assistance, client reservations, creating and sending invoices, editing the website, translating texts from/to Spanish to/from English, dealing with general administrative tasks, and possibly greeting foreign clients to greet them (not common).

You will also handle private groups: Listen to their needs, advise them, and suggest a customized itinerary and tour for them, coordinating with other members of the team. This includes research of cities, towns, routes, transportation options, restaurants, hotels, etc.
