Camino by sea - A Xacobean Nautical Crossing

(All round year tour)*

Set sail on a truly unique Camino de Santiago! Follow the journey taken by the legendary stone boat that brought the remains of the Apostle Santiago to Compostela many centuries ago. The Xacobean Nautical Crossing is the latest addition to the list of official routes eligible for the Compostela pilgrim certificate.

To claim get the Compostela the Maritime Camino requires that Pilgrims sail 90 nautical miles and then walk the last 5 km of either the Portuguese Way, and finishing in Santiago. We will stamp our pilgrim passports at every port that we call along the way.

We will sail through the Vigo, Pontevedra, and Arousa Estuaries. Through our journey, we will also visit such breathtaking places as the isles of CIES and ONS, Combarro, Cambados, and La Toxa among many others.

The coastal views you will enjoy from our boat will amaze you. Immersed in the serenity of the seafaring life, you can take the time to appreciate the majesty of the cliffs, the quietness of the sandbanks, the unique facades of the fishing villages and the welcoming embrace of the river estuaries.

Note: For your safety, the itinerary may vary according to weather conditions, and the captain’s discretion.

The sailboats that we have are the most modern, built in 2017 and 2019. Fully adapted to satisfy the comforts of our most demanding pilgrims.

The tour includes two nights on land - one in Cambados and one in Santiago – and the group will spend all the other nights on the boat. The best of both worlds!

Of course, you have the option of spending every night on land. Please note that this service would incur an additional cost.

* Tours available from March to October. Under optimal sailing conditions. Groups from 2 people and up.
