The French Way Camino

The French Way Camino, also called Camino Frances, is a wonderful pilgrimage route that dates back to the 12th century. In Medieval times, the pilgrims started to use this route in order to reach the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Nowadays, the French way is one of the most popular Caminos and visited by pilgrims from all over the world. The stunning route has even inspired books and movies, the most famous being the movie “The way”.

The beautiful French Way Camino is one of the most popular Camino walking routes. For many people, this pilgrimage is still done for religious reasons in order to visit the statue of the Apostle Saint James. For others it is a journey of spiritual healing, a chance of meeting people from all over the world, being able to see wonderful landscapes and enjoy Spain, with its amazing cultural scene and delicious food!
