Our Portuguese Camino Lite is designed to walk the last hundred kilometers necessary to obtain the Compostela certificate starting in Tui in 9 short stages, averaging just 13 kilometers (8 miles) per day. Half way to Santiago you will enjoy a rest day with a lovely visit to really immerse yourselves in the culture of Galicia and live a truly unique experience

Along the Way we will enjoy the charm of authentic Galician rural manors, top-notch hotels and majestic Paradores, which have been personally selected by us for their great hospitality and service. A classic Camino walking tour for any age - anybody can walk the Camino.

Itinerario día a día

Day 1

Meeting in Madrid
Transfer to Baiona

In the morning we will meet at the lobby of the Avani Alonso Martinez Hotel for a brief presentation. We will then go to Chamartín train station in our private vehicle.

We will travel to the city of Ourense by train where our private vehicle awaits to take us to the beautiful coastal city of Baiona.

In the evening we will enjoy a wonderful welcome dinner.

Day 2

Tui - O Porriño
(16.4 km / 10.2 mi)

We start in the city of Tui, the starting point of the Portuguese Camino in Galicia. During this stage, we can admire the sublime architecture on every street of Tui's historic quarter. We will traverse beautiful forest paths throughout the day. Later we travel to the charming town of Baiona.

Day 3

O Porriño - Redondela
(15.6 km / 9.7 mi)

On this stage we will have the pleasure of seeing the church of Santa Eulalia del Monte and the Pazo de los Marqueses in the parish of Mos, which are some of the most beautiful examples of Galician architecture in this region. We will continue our journey through peaceful forests until we arrive at the convent of Villavella in the city of Redondela. Once our stage is finished we will travel to the city of Vigo to enjoy the rest of the day there.

Day 4

Redondela - Pontesampaio
(8 km / 5 mi)

We will travel in our private vehicle to Redondela, finishing point of our previous stage. We will walk along the coastline until we arrive in Pontesampaio.

Day 5

Pontesampaio - Pontevedra
(11.2 km / 6.9 mi)

We will travel in our private vehicle to Pontesampaio, finishing point of our previous stage. We will walk along the coastlines of Vigo and Pontevedra until we arrive in the city of Pontevedra, capital of the Portuguese Way in Galicia. Here we will see the sanctuary of "La Virgen Peregrina" or Pilgrim Virgin, patroness and symbol of the city.

Day 6

Pontevedra - A Portela
(10 km / 6.2 mi)

Today's stage is one of the most beautiful in the Galician section of the Portuguese Way. We will walk through vineyards, small rural hermitages and forests filled with chestnut, pine and eucalyptus trees until we reach A Portela.

After the stage we will drive back to Pontevedra where we will enjoy a wonderful guided visit.

Day 7

REST DAY
Visit in Pazo de Rubianes

Today we will enjoy a rest day and a visit to the majestic Pazo de Rubianes.

Night in Caldas de Reis

Day 8

A Portela - Caldas de Reis
(11.2 km / 6.9 mi)

We will continue walking through beautiful forests and vineyards on our way to Caldas de Reis. We will pass through Muiñada Da Barosa, a beautiful enclave with waterfalls and natural pools where we can cool off and rest a bit before continuing our journey.

After the walk we will enjoy a lovely cruise on the Ria de Arousa and a visit to a floating clam farm.

Day 9

Caldas de Reis - S. Miguel de Valga
(11.9 km / 7.4 mi)

We are approaching the end of the Portuguese Way. From Caldas de Reís we cross the Umia River where we can see the natural thermal baths that the town is named after. The path continues through the beautiful Bermaña Valley and its ancient forest until we reach San Miguel de Valga.

Day 10

S. Miguel de Valga - O Faramello
(16.6 km / 10.3 mi)

We continue our walk from San Miguel, passing by the emblematic town of Padrón, place where according to tradition, the stone boat containing the remains of the Apostle arrived from the Holy Land. We will end our stage in O Faramello.

Day 11

O Faramello - Santiago de Compostela
(14 km / 8.7 mi)

Today we walk our last stage!
Our way continues to the town of O' Milladoiro passing through Agro Dos Mosteiros where we can for the first time make out the spires of Santiago's Cathedral in the distance. When we arrive we will attend the Pilgrims' Mass in the Cathedral. In the evening we will have a wonderful farewell surprise accompanied by a delicious dinner to celebrate!

Day 12

Guided visit in Santiago

In the morning we will enjoy a guided visit in Santiago's historic center where we will learn about the history of the city and the pilgrimages. We will marvel at its monuments, squares and streets. We will also visit the Cathedral's rooftop to enjoy stunning views of the city.

We will then say farewell and your Camino through life begins!
