Florence - Livorno

A historic Pilgrimage through the Tuscan countryside

The San Jacopo Camino is a fascinating ancient pilgrimage route that connects the majestic city of Florence with the coastal city of Livorno, winding through the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Inspired by the historic pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, this path follows the footsteps of those who visited the relic of St. James in Pistoia Cathedral—the only one outside Spain—before continuing their journey toward Santiago.

You’ll walk through hills, vineyards, and medieval villages that reflect the rich history and culture of the region. The route passes by iconic cities such as Lucca, known for its Renaissance walls and historic streets, and Pisa, home to the famous Leaning Tower.

The San Jacopo Camino culminates on Livorno's coast, where pilgrims end their journey facing the Mediterranean after traversing one of Italy’s most spectacular routes. This experience is ideal for those seeking a spiritual pilgrimage as well as for lovers of Tuscan culture and landscape.
