Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

MEETING IN SANTANDER

Your unforgettable adventure begins in Santander nestled along the picturesque Cantabrian Coast. A local guide will lead you on a delightful exploration of the city, showcasing its hidden gems.
Before indulging in a delicious welcome dinner, we'll provide a short and informative presentation about your upcoming Camino journey, ensuring you're well-prepared for this transformative experience.

Day 2

PILGRIMAGE TO SAN SEBASTIAN DE GARABANDAL

We'll depart from Santander towards San Sebastián de Garabandal, a tranquil village nestled in the Cantabrian mountains where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to four young girls between 1961 and 1965. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a short pilgrimage, visiting the parish church and the site of these holy apparitions.
Afterwards we'll continue our journey to the captivating stone village of Santillana del Mar where we will enjoy a guided visit, showcasing the village's unique charm and its beautifully preserved medieval architecture.

Day 3

STAGE 1: PENDUELES - LLANES
(15 km / 8 mi)

We'll set off with a scenic drive to the charming village of Pendueles. From there, we'll embark on a captivating coastal walk, following a path that hugs the cliffs and offers breathtaking views of the Bufones de Arenillas. This invigorating walk will lead us all the way to the lively town of Llanes.
After our walk we'll drive to a magical resort nestled amidst the mountains. This idyllic setting provides the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

Day 4

STAGE 2: LLANES - PLAYA SAN ANTOLÍN
(12 km / 7.5 mi)

Today's stage takes us along a stunning coastal path, treating you to the beauty of several beaches: Palombina, Barro, and Torimbia. As we meander along the coastline, we'll eventually reach the picturesque San Antolín beach. After the walk, we'll transfer back to our magical resort, allowing you to unwind and relish the tranquility of this mountain haven.

Day 5

STAGE 3: PLAYA SAN ANTOLÍN - BUFONES DE PRÍA
(16 km / 10 mi)

Our journey continues along another delightful seaside stage. This time, we'll be treated to a unique selection of beaches, each with its own charm: Gulpiyuri (a hidden gem!), Huelga, Vilanueva, Cuevas del Mar, and Playa del Canal. As we traverse this scenic route, we'll eventually reach the famous Bufones of Pría, a natural wonder that's sure to leave you awestruck.
After the walk, we'll head to the charming coastal village of Ribadesella for a well-deserved lunch. Refueled and refreshed, we'll then transfer back to our haven of relaxation in the mountains.

Day 6

STAGE 4: LAGOS DE COVADONGA NATURAL PARK
(7 km / 4.3 mi)

Today we visit the breathtaking Lagos de Covadonga Natural Park! Embark on a short but rewarding walk through this stunning natural paradise where it's glacial lakes reflect the majestic peaks of the Picos de Europa mountains. We will then continue to the Shrine of Our Lady of Covadonga where legend tells of the Virgin Mary appearing to King Pelayo. After the visit, we'll head down to the charming seaside village of Lastres. The afternoon is yours to explore the village at your leisure. Tonight, you'll be nestled in luxurious comfort at our marvelous accommodations.

Day 7

STAGE 5: ARENAL DE MORÍS - PLAYA LA GRIEGA
(10 km / 6.2 mi)

Our final walking stage awaits! We'll take a short drive to our start point in Arenal de Moris. from where we will begin a scenic route along the cliffs, with breathtaking views and the beauty of several beaches as we make our way towards Playa La Griega. After the walk, we'll drive to Oviedo. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure. In the evening, we'll meet for a delightful farewell dinner at our accommodations, providing a memorable conclusion to our Camino.

Day 8

OVIEDO
END OF TOUR

In the morning we will enjoy a marvelous guided visit in Oviedo after which we will say farewell and our Camino will come to an end.
