Marly Camino in the National Geographic Traveller Magazine!
Dear Friends,
We are very excited to tell you that we have been featured in the May 2017 issue of the National Geographic Traveller Magazine (UK Edition). We are thrilled that such a famous and important magazine, known for its beautiful photography and outstanding publications has taken an interest in Marly Camino.
The Article: Walking trails in Europe
This edition includes an article called “Walk this way” that talks about walking trails and routes in Europe. “Volcanic lunar landscapes, ancient pilgrims pathways, churches and ruins. A rambler’s reward is culture, ambience and wild scenery on the walking routes through Italy, France and Spain”.
Marly Camino is especially proud of being featured on page 96, in the part of the article that talks specifically about the Camino de Santiago.
The subtitle reads as follows: “Bite sized variants of the epic pilgrim trail to the northwestern Spanish city means there’s no need to martyr yourself”
The Camino in National Geographic Traveller
The article talks about the Camino being one of Europe’s most iconic walks, the different variations on the route and how popular it is.
It then describes the length and difficulty of the typical last 100 kms of the Camino. National Geographic Traveller explains that shorter variations can be completed within 10 days. At that point and thinking about length, time and difficulty; the article recommends the possibility of taking a tailor made approach to the Camino, by organizing the trip with a the best Camino tour company.
Our Buen Camino:
National Geographic Traveller talks about our most iconic walk, the Buen Camino and the fact that we include an English speaking guide, accommodations, luggage transfer and a pilgrim’s kit. Additionally we have been featured on page 79 where we explain “With us it is much more than just a walk”.
On that page, we talk about our experience: “For over ten years, we have been curating exclusive walking itineraries to show you the cultural gems and hidden corners of the Iberian Peninsula. We are a local, top rated agency known for our expertise, attention to detail and warmth.”
Thank you to National Geographic Traveller Magazine and another thank you to each one of our Pilgrims for giving us the amazing reputation that we enjoy!
