I had an amazing experience on this trip. Marly Tours was fantastic from start to finish — they were responsive, organized, helpful and enthusiastic. They made the trip very easy to plan and made sure that the trip went smoothly. I felt very well taken care of the entire time. In addition, the guides were just wonderful – very warm, encouraging and friendly. Our main guide in particular was one of the best guides I’ve ever had on a trip (and there have been many). Esther has a special gift with people and was really incredible.

The drinks, snacks, support, information, and everything else exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfect.I also enjoyed the other Pilgrims in our group; we all got along very well, and several of us are planning to travel together with Marly in the future. I really can’t recommend Marly highly enough!

We have completed 4 caminos, 3 in Spain and 1 in Italy. With this experience behind us we can confidently state Marly Camino is the epitome of what a good tour company should be. Marly personnel, from the management team down, understand what pilgrims are seeking, and they ensure that their clients have an unforgettable experience. The staff, accommodation, food and general organisation was exemplary. In our group there was a variety of dietary requirements, health issues, ongoing travel requirements, but every issue was addressed with a minimum of fuss.

We have no hesitation in recommending Marly Camino to future pilgrims, and we will be seeking them out for our next walk.

It was absolutely a wonderful experience(physically, mentally and spiritually) and that is being said from someone who didn’t really know what she was getting into. Would complete another tour the Marly for sure!! Marly thinks of everything.

Marly’s “Buen Camino” tour was everything I could have hoped for and more: amazing lodgings, fantastic, local food and two guides who tried to be sure we had everything we needed during the trip. This tour made the camino experience a cultural tour of northwestern Spain introducing us to the regional dishes, history and people of the area. In addition to a moving, religious pilgrimage, I had a marvelous vacation and made new friends along the way…worth every penny and more!

I love the Camino! I loved the support from Marly Camino! I am itching to go back! Marly Camino’s organization of the tour was excellent; I especially liked the Camino road map card and I referred to it often each day. The hotels and inns that Marly reserved for us were excellent and our transportation to and from the Camino was also excellent. I loved our driver and our tour guides were so very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated the preparation they provided for us each day in terms of what to expect on the trail. They provided us with speciality foods and meals (i.e. sugar free bars for me) and for others as well as meeting many of our other needs. Marly staff were highly encouraging and I loved their enthusiasm and their welcome hugs we received at the end of each leg. I loved that we were able to hike at our own pace. The Camino was a spiritual adventure as well as a physical challenge for me and I not only loved the alone time that I was able to have on the trail, I enjoyed the people in our group as well as many others I met on the trails. I really loved meeting other pilgrims along the way and getting to know them a bit. I always felt safe and that Marly staff always had our backs!! I can’t wait to go back; thank you Marly Camino!! Walking the last 120km of the French Way in one word – wonderful! The experience was such a metaphor for life – to have a good Camino, as to lead a good life, one needs a belief in oneself, ambition to push through difficulty, acceptance of ones limitations, humility to receive help from others, faith that all will be well in time, and pause to celebrate small wins.

To experience the Camino with Marly Tours in a word – spectacular! The entire program for our group was put together just wonderfully. As a group we were very well taken cared of. All accommodations were top class. Any special need was anticipated and resolved. There was nothing that our group had to want for.

I hope to do the Camino again, going through other routes. There is no other team that I would choose to do it with other than Marly Camino.

I barely have words to describe how fantastic our experience with Marly Camino was! Every detail was taken care of so that all we had to do each day was walk, and that sense of peace and joy is so appreciated in this busy world. We made great friends, including the guides and bus driver, the history and information given to us was pertinent and useful, the food and inns were wonderful, the pace was perfect. Buen Camino!

It was an absolutely perfect and amazing experience. We definitely were pampered and treated royally. It was the combination of a spiritual adventure, physical challenge and pampered vacation. We already have a group of friends who are interested in joining us on another trip – northern Spain or more likely Portugal.

I am sure you’ve heard and read this many times… MARLY CAMINO FAR-EXCEEDED my expectations, and I have very high expectations and requirements based of more than 20 years of international travel ranging from backpacking to luxury/private tours, and everything in between.
If you want to concentrate on the spiritual aspect of your journey, leave the details to MARLY. And I’m telling you, they take care of the details and of the details you wouldn’t even think about. It makes the trip extra special.

If you are looking for worry-free logistics, which is the biggest hassle of traveling, Marly will not disappoint. From lodging, meals, supplies, medical provisions, affordable laundry, access to mobile phone, Marly has you covered.

The best part of Marly tours, for me, is the freedom that Marly gives you to walk at your OWN PACE. Before I booked my trip, my biggest worry is that I will have to keep up with the group. I was concerned that I will not be able to linger, reflect, or be still because I will be constantly be surrounded by the group. The camino, after all, is a PERSONAL JOURNEY. I was pleasantly surprised that walking at your own pace is highly-encouraged – which I took advantaged of. I definitely “stopped to smell the roses”, visited the local cafes in the small hamlets along the way, visited with fellow peregrinos (outside our group) – all added up to provide a more enriching experience. It felt like I was part of the whole/total pilgrimage, as opposed to the “little, safe world” which a tour group usually provide.

I will definitely go back on the Camino and will most likely join another Marly tour. My husband, who didn’t go with me, is actually seriously considering going on a Camino soon and go with Marly. I couldn’t stop saying good things about Marly to everyone who would listen.

Everything about our trip has been perfect:
– The excellent organisation and planning the fabulous Marly Camino team
– Our truly fantastic guides – always there to help and advise, deeply knowledgeable, ever patient and full of encouragement for the long days of walking
– Our brilliant driver who took us safely on the fascinating (and weather challenging) trip from Madrid to Sarria – and then was always there with our support bus, stocked up with snacks, treats and a fabulous picnic
– The wonderful local places we stayed – so full of character, cosy and friendly and with the most delicious evening meals and superb local wines
– The gorgeous scenery along the way, special lunch stops, so much history and spectacular wildflowers and roses everywhere, and mile upon mile of yellow broom everywhere
– Our fellow pilgrims who became dear friends and all the memorable conversations we shared
– Most of all our arrival in Santiago, the botafumeiro in the cathedral, our perfect, tranquil, final night’s accommodation, the tour of the city and very special final meal together It has been a life-changing experience. 

Every step was a joy, a discovery and as you taught us, the real more personal inner Camino begins as we end our trip with you.

My reason for doing the Camino was a walking challenge with meaning. I never expected the Holy Spirit to guide me so effortlessly along the way. No blisters no aching legs just a feeling of peace even in the rain!
I was blessed with the best of guides. Wonderfully friendly, interesting and delightful companions to share delicious meals, comfortable hotels in beautiful settings. The attention to detail in every aspect during any time of the day or evening was far beyond my expectations.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get better ‘Marly Tours’ had arranged for us to have the privilege of taking our seats on the sanctuary for the ‘Pilgrims Mass’ at twelve noon on our final day. It was a very moving experience to be with my fellow walkers who had become such special friends over the past week. We witnessed the Botafumeiro at close hand which took my breath away. At 67 years of age I have had many wonderful experiences in my life but this Mass was right up with the best for which I would like to thank ‘Marly Tours’ for making it possible.
My final tour with one of the guides on the last evening was literally on top of the Cathedral! To stand overlooking Spain as far as the eye could see was another life time experience and one I shall never forget.
I was privileged to do the Camino with my sister which enables us to share all these special memories together and talk endlessly about our wonderful time doing our Camino for which we thank Marly for making it so special.
